Logistical Change: Start and Finish at the Same Location

In order to optimise logistics and enhance the overall event experience, the finish line will be relocated to the same location as the start, at Plaza del Mar Shopping Centre.

To ensure participant safety and fairness in timing, a time-neutralisation system will be implemented at the crossing of Av. Bulevar Príncipe Alfonso de Hohenlohe.

The course will include two consecutive timing points:

  • Finish A (pre-crossing): located before the holding area.

  • Finish B (post-crossing): located immediately after the pedestrian crossing.

The timing system will automatically deduct the time elapsed between Finish A and Finish B, meaning that the road-crossing section will not be included in the official race time.

In the results, this section will appear as a specific split labelled:
“Boulevard Crossing (neutralised)”, ensuring complete fairness for all participants.

However, we are aware that, due to the heavy rainfall and strong winds recorded in southern Spain over recent weeks, many of you are wondering whether the race will take place as planned.

We would like to reassure you:

The Sierra Blanca terrain has not been significantly affected, thanks to its natural characteristics and drainage. Therefore, the event will go ahead on the scheduled date.

That said, and for safety reasons, minor adjustments may be made to the routes of the three distances if some streams—currently above their usual flow—do not return to normal levels.

In that case:

  • Updated tracks will be published on the official website, and

  • They will also be shared via this same channel through an additional communication.

Please remain attentive to future updates to ensure you stay fully informed.

Please note that all routes are clearly marked with identification markers in yellow, white and black, as well as signposts indicating the correct direction at junctions, as shown in the attached images.

If at any point you do not see a marker for more than 100 metres, please retrace your steps until you rejoin the correct route. Please do not follow any other type of markers, as they do not belong to either the organisation or the race.

We remind you that carrying the track is mandatory. Although the routes are checked before each start, some markers may be removed by animals or through vandalism. The track is not recommended; it is compulsory.

Likewise, the SOS app is mandatory. Please review the information dossier and the regulations again for further details, available on the downloads page.
